Spray Tan

2.

Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing against you fair-skinned ladies- you are beautiful as is! But if you want a natural- looking glow, I always recommend a spray tan for a little added confidence! Here are Some great options at various price points:

-Splurge:

(custom airbrush tan that comes to you!)

- Staple:

(great for a wide range of skin tones!)

-Steal:

(machine spray tans but a classic!)

Divine Sunless

Glowup Sunless Tan

Seattle Sun Tan

or, Tanning Drops

3.

If you have lighter skin and are looking for a glow, but don't have the time to splurge on a spray tan, these drops are the next best thing! they come in tons of different formulas (drops to add to lotion, spray, etc)
It's definitely the most natural looking self tanning product I've ever used. Plus it smells amaaaazing!

The *best best best* way to know how to pose for these shoots is to look at photos you love and mimic the poses. Yes, I realize this seems a little suss but Here me out:

I can pose you, hype you, and make you feel beautiful to the best of my ability, but if you don't know what your body looks like in various poses, we might stumble into the greatest pitfall of boudoir photography: personal insecurity bias.

This is when *I* think you look friggin gorgeous in a certain pose, but it emphasizes your arms/tummy/legs/etc in a way that mAKES YOU FEEL INSECURE. AKA, I can't tell from my side of the camera that you will cringe at this photo!

So, moral of the story is look on pinterest &
MY instagraM FOR INSPIRATION, and then in the wise words of 2 Chainz-- "do it in the mirror."

Commit to Celebrating Your Body

6.

I know it sounds *horribly* cheesy, but it's so so important for your mindset going into the shoot.

You don't want your excitement for the session to be contingent on losing a certain amount of weight, or how much you're going to Facetune the crap out of the images after. Plus, if you're feeling insecure the entire shoot because you think your body has to meet a certain standard to pose in certain ways or wear certain outfits, then you're missing out on what could be a transformative and empowering
experience.

Your body is lovely, strong, sexy, and incredibly unique.
Let's celebrate it together!

Makeup Tips

4.

So I am always a fan of people looking like themselves (love a natural gal!) but something to be aware of is that the camera tends to remove makeup (lightens lashes, washes out, etc). I can correct for this in editing, but its always a safe bet to wear a bit heavier makeup than usual! I promise you won't look overdone-- it will likely even out to justttt right!
